Picture it! The Great Plaza is transformed into a unique outdoor theater for another season of Screenings Under the Stars.

Every Thursday night in July and August, a different popular film will be featured outdoors on a big screen at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing, located on Columbus Boulevard at Chestnut Street. The screening will begin at dusk and as with all events at Penn’s Landing, the screening is FREE.

And it is more than just a movie! Prior to the start of each screening will be fun themed activities, coordinated with the theme of that week’s film.

Emmey Award-winner news journailist, Dawn Timmeney from NBC 10 News will host Screenings Under the Stars July 10th. A Pennsylvania native, Timmeney began her career as an anchor/reporter at WFMZ-TV 69 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Now she co-anchors NBC 10 News - Live at 4PM with Vince DeMentri.

Tonights Activity: Insectarium

The Insectarium travel show brings live and preserced insects from around the world to you! The program presents a positive view of insects and their role in the world ecosystem. No other show will allow you to touch and hold Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, Whip-Tail Scorpions, giant Millipedes, and even eat some tasty mealworms all in one program!
